The drinking of wine is a celebration of life, and special company. It is one of the great pleasures of the world, and its enjoyment is enhanced when taken with fine food. The wines compiled in this list have been specially selected through
research--and yes, tasting--to compliment The Parker House cuisine.
Our service staff has been trained in proper wine service which includes never filling a glass past halfway, so that you may swirl the wine, allowing it to breathe. We use a thirteen ounce glass so that you receive the standard six ounce pour. So give your wine a swirl and notice how it changes in the nose and on the palate.
For most people the idea of selecting a wine from all of the varietals, vintages, and vineyards seems like a daunting task. Just remember--the best wine to pair with your food is the wine you like best. But, if you want to try something new, we have selections from all of the major wine producing regions of the world.
To better serve you, the Parker House Restaurant has committed the services of a full-time sommelier to answer your questions and offer you suggestions. Also, to enhance the taste of wine, we proudly offer "Spiegelau", fine German crystal upon request. |
